内蒙古环境能源交易所成立于2011年，是自治区人民政府批准，国务院有关部际联席会议备案的专业交易机构，是全国碳市场能力建设（上海）中心的内蒙古基地，是自治区一家集碳排放权、用能权与氢能、林草碳汇、绿色能源为核心主业的省级环境能源权益类交易平台，同时也是中国环境交易机构合作联盟（国内15家环境类交易机构）成员单位之一。由鄂尔多斯市圣圆投资集团、内蒙古产权交易中心、上海环境能源交易所共同出资组建，注册资本1亿元人民币
